Grilling for Good: Celebrating the Success of TECO Family BBQ Cook-Off for Charity

Following the success of our largest TECO Family BBQ Cook-off for Charity, we are extremely proud to highlight this event. In partnership with Peoples Gas, we recently hosted our annual BBQ competition that not only showcased our team members' culinary skills but also raised a record $54,000 for charity.

This event, separate from our corporate activities and organized by current and former Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas team members, supports local charities through friendly competition. This year, we are excited to congratulate the winners of the 13th Annual TECO Family BBQ Cook-Off for Charity. Their exceptional skills in categories such as ribs, brisket, and more contributed significantly to our fundraising efforts for Girls of the World Inc. and Pasco Adaptive & Inclusive Recreation.

Congratulations to Our BBQ Champs!

Thanks to everyone who made this event such a huge success to benefit local charities Girls of the World Inc. and Pasco Adaptive & Inclusive Recreation. And for present and future BBQ cook teams at Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas, stay fired up for next year’s competition – our taste buds can’t wait!
